CORE VALUES

At Pine Park Baptist Church we deeply value:

• The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Jesus Christ, the Son of God, shed His blood and died for our sins, was resurrected and only through faith in Him can we find forgiveness of sins and receive  eternal life.  (John 3:16)

• The Authority of the Bible - As the Word of God, it reveals that Jesus Christ is Lord of All.  We strive to live by the teachings of the Bible.  (John 5:39, 2 Timothy 3:16)

• Prayer – Because it is essential for open communication with God. As such, it is an integral part of worship both public and private.  (John 14:13, 1 Timothy 2:8, Philippians 4:6, Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)

• The Great Commission – Sharing the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ with others in the hope of seeing them come into a growing, personal relationship with God through Him.  (Matthew 28: 18-20, Luke 24: 47, Acts 1: 8)

Because at Pine Park Baptist Church we deeply value the above, we then strive to have:

• Meaningful Worship – We worship God in spirit and truth through music, prayer and preaching of the Word of God. (John 4:24, Psalm 144:9, 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, 2 Timothy 4:2)

• Bible Teaching – By obedience to the teaching of the Bible we learn integrity and develop leadership qualities that reflect the nature of Christ. (James 1:22, 2 Timothy 2:15, Hebrews 4:12)

• Healthy Relationships – Because of our love for God, we try to develop strong relationships with our families, church members, our community, meeting the needs of others with godly compassion. (Matthew 22:37-39, James 2:8, 1 John 4:7,11)

• Responsible Stewardship – Realizing that every good thing is a gift from God, our time, talents and treasures are to be used faithfully for Him. (James 1:17, James 4:14-15, Colossians 3:23, Proverbs 21:20)

Purpose Statement

The Biblical purpose of Pine Park Baptist Church is to glorify God by sharing his heart, hands and mind with our members and others.
